Turnberry Marina

A private, luxury resort-style marina on the Intracoastal Waterway in Aventura—perfectly positioned between Miami and Fort Lauderdale with polished docks and personalized service.

Turnberry Marina (also known as Turnberry Isle Marina / Turnberry Marina & Yacht Club) is a private, resort-style facility on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) in the Aventura / North Miami area. Its location makes it a convenient home base for cruising south toward Miami Beach and Biscayne Bay or north toward the Fort Lauderdale waterways.

Boaters know Turnberry for its upscale, renovated look and feel—aluminum floating docks with Ipe wood decking—paired with a security-forward, professional dock team. It’s designed for comfort and convenience, with on-site facilities that support both day boating and extended stays.

Because it operates within a private resort environment, access and dockage are typically handled with advance coordination. If you’re planning to arrive by water—especially with a larger yacht—call ahead to confirm slip availability, approach instructions, and any gate/security requirements for guests and crew.

About This Marina

Turnberry Marina sits on the Intracoastal Waterway at approximately AIWW Mile Marker 1075.8 and is closely tied to the development history of Aventura. The property’s boating lifestyle traces back to Don Soffer’s vision (dating to 1967) that helped shape the community around resort, golf, and yachting. Today’s marina reflects a modern transformation with floating docks, upgraded finishes, and guest-forward facilities—while still operating as a private, curated environment where dockage and access are typically arranged in advance.

Transient dockage information varies by directory listing. For trip planning purposes, treat transient slips as available by inquiry: call the dock office to confirm current policies, vessel size limits, and arrival procedures.

Arrival tips for visiting by boat

• Hail the marina on VHF 16 (monitored) and switch to VHF 68 (working) for docking instructions. • Approach via the Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW); confirm local approach guidance and slip assignment with the dock office. • Bridge openings and no-wake zones can impact ETA—build buffer time into your plan. • This is a private, resort-style marina with security. Coordinate guest/crew access, parking, and gate instructions in advance. • For larger vessels, confirm maximum LOA, beam, draft considerations, and fender/line recommendations with the dockmaster prior to arrival.
