Matheson Hammock Marina

A protected Miami-Dade County marina inside Matheson Hammock Park with quick runs to Biscayne Bay, Key Biscayne routes, and iconic South Florida day trips.

Matheson Hammock Marina is a Miami-Dade County marina tucked into Matheson Hammock Park, offering a calm, protected basin just off Biscayne Bay near the Key Biscayne area. Boaters come for the easy access to popular bay routes, nearby islands, and the ability to get out on open water quickly while still docking in a sheltered setting.

On land, the park delivers a distinctive “old Florida / Coral Gables” feel—tropical shoreline, a famous man-made atoll pool that’s naturally flushed by the tides, and a historic coral-rock restaurant building. It’s a great choice if you want a scenic, relaxed marina stop that still keeps you close to Miami’s busiest boating corridors.

Dockage is primarily for regular slip holders, with very limited transient availability, so it’s smart to call ahead—especially on weekends and holidays when the park and ramps get busy.

About This Marina

Located inside Matheson Hammock Park, Matheson Hammock Marina is best known for its protected basin and its quick access to Biscayne Bay boating. It’s a convenient launch point for Key Biscayne area routes and day trips toward Biscayne National Park waters.

Boaters also love the setting: a tropical shoreline and one of the area’s signature park features—a man-made atoll pool that’s naturally refreshed by tidal action. The adjacent historic coral-rock restaurant building adds a classic South Florida atmosphere you don’t get at many modern marinas.

Planning note: transient dockage is extremely limited. If you’re visiting by boat and need a slip or fuel timing, call the marina/park office and fuel dock before you depart.
