Coconut Grove Sailing Club

A top Biscayne Bay stop for visiting sailors thanks to a highly protected mooring field and on-demand 24/7 launch service—minutes from Coconut Grove dining and provisioning.

Coconut Grove Sailing Club (CGSC) is a historic sailing hub on Biscayne Bay in Coconut Grove, Miami, immediately south of Dinner Key Marina. It’s best known among cruisers for its exceptionally protected mooring field and strong sailing culture, with an active calendar of races and events.

For visiting boaters, CGSC is less of a “resort slip marina” and more of a mooring-field destination: you pick up a mooring (first-come, first-served) and use the club’s launch service to get ashore. That combination makes CGSC a practical and comfortable overnight or weekend base with quick access to the waterfront neighborhood.

Because clubhouse, dock office, and event schedules can affect access and operations, it’s smart to call ahead for current procedures and timing—especially on regatta weekends.
