Your Perfect Boat Day
Sample on-the-water day plan (flex to conditions):
1) Morning staging near Haulover / ICW
- Depart from a nearby marina and cruise the Intracoastal for a relaxed start.
2) Ocean option: Baker’s Haulover Inlet → Atlantic shoreline
- If seas and tide conditions are favorable, transit Haulover Inlet for an ocean cruise. The inlet is known for strong currents and can get rough—time your transit carefully and prioritize safety.
3) Bay option: ICW south toward Miami Beach
- Stay inside and run south toward Miami Beach Marina for a lunch stop or a scenic cruise past waterfront neighborhoods.
4) Biscayne Bay continuation (longer day)
- Continue toward Downtown (Miamarina at Bayside) or Coconut Grove (Dinner Key) depending on no-wake zones, traffic, and your desired pace.
5) Return north to Bal Harbour
- Aim to be back before late-afternoon congestion and shifting inlet conditions; keep an eye on wind, tide, and current.
We stayed in Bal Harbour and still managed a full boat day—ICW cruising, a marina lunch stop, and an easy ride back. The location near Haulover made planning simple.
