Star Island celebrity homes boat tour

Cruise Biscayne Bay for front-row views of Star Island and Miami’s most famous waterfront mansions. Most tours depart from Bayside Marketplace in Downtown Miami.

A Star Island celebrity homes boat tour is one of Miami’s signature on-the-water experiences—an easy sightseeing cruise across Biscayne Bay that spotlights Star Island and nearby luxury neighborhoods often called “Millionaire’s Row.” From the water, you’ll pass show-stopping estates, private docks, and postcard skyline views.

Because Star Island is a private, gated residential island, the experience is all about viewing from the bay rather than docking. Tours typically loop past Palm Island, Hibiscus Island, Fisher Island, and the Venetian Islands, with narration that points out famous properties and local history.

Most operators board at Bayside Marketplace / Miamarina at Bayside, making this a convenient plan if you’re staying downtown, in Brickell, or near Miami Beach—and a great activity to do by boat if you want a classic Miami route without complicated navigation.

About This Experience

The Star Island celebrity homes boat tour is a scenic cruise route through Biscayne Bay that spotlights Star Island—an exclusive, man-made island completed in 1922—along with surrounding luxury enclaves often grouped as “Millionaire’s Row.” Tours generally depart from Bayside Marketplace / Miamarina at Bayside (401 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132) and pass major sights like the Port of Miami, the Venetian Causeway, and the Miami skyline. Expect to stay on the water the whole time (no docking at Star Island), with prime views of waterfront estates and iconic Miami scenery.

Planning tips for a smoother day on the water

Use Bayside Marketplace (401 Biscayne Blvd) as your navigation destination, then follow signs to Miamarina at Bayside for the waterfront boarding area.

Arrive 30–45 minutes early to park, check in, and pick your preferred seating (often first-come, first-served).

Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light layer—Biscayne Bay can feel breezy even on warm days.

Keep a digital copy of your booking confirmation handy if you reserved online.

If you plan to purchase alcoholic drinks onboard, carry ID (requirements vary by operator).

Expect occasional route adjustments for wind, traffic, or port activity; check your operator’s weather policy before you go.

Best time to go

Late afternoon is ideal for softer light on the Miami skyline and mansion-lined islands. Midday departures are bright and clear for photos, while evenings can feel cooler and breezier on the bay. Weekdays usually mean lighter crowds and faster parking at Bayside.

Most sightseeing cruises run about 60–90 minutes, depending on the operator and the specific route (some add the Venetian Islands, Fisher Island, or extended skyline passes).

Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a light layer for wind are the essentials. Bring your booking confirmation on your phone, and carry ID if you plan to buy alcoholic drinks onboard (operator-dependent).

Yes—Bayside has a paid parking garage and there is also metered street parking nearby. Downtown traffic can be heavy on event days, so build extra time into your arrival.

Many routes also pass the Venetian Islands and Venetian Causeway, Palm Island and Hibiscus Island, Fisher Island, the Port of Miami, Monument Island, Watson Island, and panoramic views of Brickell Key and the Downtown Miami skyline.
