Night cruise through downtown Miami
Cruise Biscayne Bay after dark for sparkling Downtown and Brickell skyline views. Most trips depart from Bayside Marketplace, with routes that often pass Star Island and the Venetian Islands.
A night cruise through Downtown Miami is a 60–90 minute evening sightseeing boat ride on Biscayne Bay built around the city’s lights—Downtown, Brickell, and the reflections on the water that make Miami feel cinematic after sunset.
Most public night cruises leave from Bayside Marketplace at Miamarina at Bayside, a central waterfront hub in the heart of Downtown. Depending on the operator and conditions, you may also glide past Star Island, the Venetian Islands, and the Port of Miami for a mix of skyline, mansions, and harbor views.
If you’re planning to visit by boat, Bayside is an easy launching point with straightforward marina access and lots to do before and after your cruise—dining, shopping, and people-watching right on the water.
About This Experience
Night cruises here typically run 60–90 minutes and focus on illuminated views of Downtown Miami and Brickell from Biscayne Bay. Many narrated sightseeing routes also swing toward Star Island and the Venetian Islands, with frequent views of the Port of Miami’s brightly lit ships and infrastructure. Departures are most commonly from Miamarina at Bayside (Bayside Marketplace waterfront), where you’ll find multiple tour operators and a walkable pre-cruise scene.

Tips for a smooth night cruise from Bayside
Arrive 30–45 minutes early for check-in and boarding (many operators enforce a cutoff).
Check in along the waterside of Bayside Marketplace—often behind Victoria’s Secret—where many operators place their ticket windows.
Bring a light layer: bay breezes can feel cooler on open decks at night.
Confirm onboard amenities before you go (restrooms, snacks/drinks, and seating options vary by vessel).
Expect downtown traffic on event nights; build buffer time for parking and walking to the dock.
Many cruises restrict coolers and outside food/drinks—review your operator’s rules in advance.
Best time to go
Aim for a departure shortly after sunset for the best mix of twilight color and full city illumination. Later departures tend to feel more “neon skyline,” while earlier trips can catch golden-to-blue hour transitions over Biscayne Bay.
